Big House Events built the set for Crocodile Fever at the Traverse Theatre, working from Grace Smart’s design to create a bold domestic interior that reflected the darkly comic and chaotic world of the production.

Developed from a detailed scale model, the set incorporated tiled flooring, textured brickwork, custom-built kitchen units, windows and stairs, alongside the smaller details needed to transform the stage into a complete interior.

Each element was constructed and finished in the Big House workshop, combining carpentry, scenic construction and detailed finishing to translate the original design from model to full scale.

The finished set brought together practical construction and theatrical detail to create a distinctive stage environment that matched the energy and character of the production.
