Large-Scale Model Making 

Big House Events created these giant sunglasses for GoFibre, transforming an everyday object into an oversized replica designed to make an impact as part of a marketing activation.

Taking the build from initial plywood cut-outs and assembly through to finishing and installation, the challenge was to recreate the familiar shape and proportions of a pair of sunglasses at a dramatically different scale.

Large-scale model making and replica work combines practical fabrication with careful attention to visual detail. The structure needs to be strong and stable, but the finished piece also has to look convincing – particularly when a familiar object is enlarged and every proportion, curve and finish becomes more noticeable.

Our workshop team developed the build through fabrication and experimentation, refining the scale, structure and finish to create a robust, realistic replica with plenty of visual impact.

From oversized products and props to one-off models and branded installations, builds like this can provide a memorable physical focal point for marketing activations, events and promotional campaigns.
