THE NOVA PROJECT (2026)

Outdoor Exhibition Fabrication & Installation 

Big House Events worked with Stellar Quines to fabricate and install a series of outdoor display structures for the NOVA Project on Kirkcaldy’s seafront.

Created as part of a community storytelling project celebrating local women, non-binary and trans people whose stories deserve greater visibility, the displays needed to work both as exhibition pieces and as robust structures within a busy public setting.

Their exposed coastal location was a key consideration. The structures needed to be durable and weather-resistant, stable enough for the seafront environment and accessible for visitors to engage with, while also being straightforward to transport, assemble and maintain.

Big House designed and fabricated the structures with these practical requirements in mind before installing them on site in Kirkcaldy, creating a series of displays that could bring the stories out into the public realm.

The NOVA Project is a great example of the crossover between exhibition fabrication, outdoor installation and public engagement – using practical build expertise to help turn creative ideas into engaging physical experiences.
